My passion is producing Web video and films that capture the immeasurable capacity of the human spirit and what drives us to pursue the path we have chosen.
That is what most powerfully engages audiences with the products and services your business or organization offers. It’s what differentiates you in a crowded marketplace.
Your organization will benefit from my extensive experience as a journalist and award-winning producer and director. My exceptional interviewing and video editing skills enable me to tell your story with emotional impact.
I spent more than a decade in Washington, D.C., most recently as Media Relations Manager/Producer for AED (Academy for Educational Development) for which I produced and directed two documentaries.
“Tumaini Letu” (Our Hope) portrays the lives, struggles and indomitable spirit of three women caring for some of the hundreds of thousands of children orphaned by AIDS in western Kenya.
It has screened at more than a dozen film festivals, conferences, universities and at the U.S. Congress.
Awards and showings:
- Aired on PBS stations in San Jose and San Francisco, Calif.
- Aired nationally on The Africa Channel

“Africa’s Daughters” captures the inspiring journey of two Ugandan girls with one big dream: to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. To accomplish that, they must challenge cultural traditions and graduate from high school, a challenge nearly impossible for most African girls.

- Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary, Atlanta Film Festival
- Best Short Documentary Award, International Black Film Festival of Nashville
- Aired on PBS stations in San Jose and San Francisco, Calif.
- Screened at more than 20 film festivals in the U.S. and in Cannes, Barcelona and London.

I have traveled extensively around the world and speak Spanish, French and Portuguese.
I have a B.S. in Journalism and a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University. In 2005, I completed a documentary film program at the Maine International Television and Film Workshops.
