Recently during the production of a video to raise $3.8 million for a new parish family center, I had the opportunity to experience and document the thriving, rapidly growing and close-knit San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

The family center at San Juan Del Rio parish will provide new classrooms for the school, a gym, a large event space for weddings and other social gatherings, and multiple meeting spaces for adult and youth groups.

From interviewing Father John Tetlow and Catholic School principal Anne Marie Barta, it was obvious how eager everyone at the San Juan Del Rio parish is to have a space that would offer more opportunities for its 12,000 parishioners to come together and celebrate the community they’ve created.

Commissioned by Michael Boylan, WJCT President and CEO, and Danielle Anderson, Chair and co-Chair of the San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church capital campaign, respectively, the video Natalie Halpern Productions created is helping to create awareness within and outside the congregation about the need for a new meeting space.
